My two pets Grayson and Lokison

My two cats. Sometimes they sleep together, Sometimes they fight. Both of them are male. Grayson is 1 year and 8 months now. Lokison is 1 year and 1 month. Grayson is afraid of unrecognized people while Loki likes to be in the centre of attention. Loki likes having a walk with us.

Grayson is the opposite of Lokison. Grayson is a male Korat cat I think. And Lokison is a male white mixed DLH. Lokison is more of an extrovert. He likes to play with everyone. Grayson likes to be alone, he always mad at Loki for disturbing his alone time. Gray is such a picky eater. He only eats a certain brand of cat food. Loki eats everything. He eats all the things I eat. He even eats rubber bands, cockroach and lizards.
Loki 4 months old

Lokison January 1 year old

Grayson January 1 year 7 month

Why Metal Straws + The Benefits of them

There are many alternatives to plastic straw such as

  • Glass Straw
  • Bamboo Straw
  • Metal Straw
Glass Straw may add elegance to any dining table but it is not safe for kids or for travel.
Bamboo straw only seems like a good option if you throwing a tropical themed party.
Therefore Stainless Steel Metal Straws is the one to choose. It is ideal for any occasion. They not only add elegance to your dining table but are also more durable compare to your common plastic straws.

There are many reasons why you should update your plastic straw to metal ones.

Teach your kids the importance of switching to environmentally friendly products, such as metal straws to protect the environment. This will encourage them to reduce the use of plastic made products and recycle.

Reusable

Stainless steel straws are reusable and can last for ages if you clean them properly. In addition, stainless steel does not leach chemicals and does not interact with the product you are consuming. On the other hand, plastic straws can only be used once and leech harmful chemicals.

Easy to Clean

Rest assured, cleaning a stainless steel straw is as easy as it could be. Most metal straws are dishwasher safe so all you have to do is rinse the straw and toss it inside the dishwasher and you are good to go.
In addition, aside from being dishwasher free, The Straws come with their own cleaning brush, to ensure that every inch of the straw remains spick and span. What’s best is that the cleaning brush is also great for cleaning sports bottles and sippy cups too!

Perfectly Safe to Use

Unlike plastic products, stainless steel straws are perfectly safe to use and BPA free. Plastic straws have been known to leech harmful chemicals into the blood vessel.
Great Gift
Do you have a friend who is obsessed with fitness and spends most of their time making healthy and refreshing fruit juices? A set of stainless steel straws would be the perfect gift for anyone who is fitness conscious and concerned about the environment.Get your friend a set of metal straws and you will not regret it. A mother cat just gave birth at my HOUSE!!!!!

I just found out a stray mother whom I feed every day is giving birth to three kittens. The Mother doesn't have any name. I don't think the mother has ever given birth before because for more than a year I fed her but she never actually gave birth before. I was surprised knowing that it just gave.
I think it gave birth yesterday because today the kitten is already clean. It also explains that I have not seen her anywhere yesterday. Last 6 or 7 month I give the mother a kitten I found stray when I went jogging with my mom and Lokison. The mother really took good care of him. We call the kitten Polo and now Polo has 3 new little stepbrothers.
Polo on 10/10 last year.
It is really a coincidence that polo looks a lot like his stepmother.

The mother with its three kitties.

Two of the kittens look the same as their mother but one of them is orange.
We planned to adopt the orange one when it is big enough to separate with their mother.

Looking at Language by Richard Lederer

The verbs in English are a fright.
How can we learn to read and write?
Today we speak, but first we spoke;
Some faucets leak, but never loke.
Today we write, but first we wrote;
We bite our tongues, but never bote.
Each day I teach, for years I taught,
And preachers preach, but never praught.
This tale I tell; this tale I told;
I smell the flowers, but never smold.
If knights still slay, as once they slew,
Then do we play, as once we plew?
If I still do as once I did,
Then do cows moo, as they once mid?
I love to win, and games I've won;
I seldom sin, and never son.
I hate to lose, and games I lost;
I didn't choose, and never chost.
I love to sing, and songs I sang;
I fling a ball, but never flang.
I strike that ball, that ball I struck;
This poem I like, but never luck.
I take a break, a break I took;
I bake a cake, but never book.
I eat that cake, that cake I ate;
I beat an egg, but never bate.
I often swim, as I once swam;
I skim some milk, but never skam.
I fly a kite that I once flew;
I tie a knot, but never tew.
I see the truth, the truth I saw;
I flee from falsehood, never flaw.
I stand for truth, as I once stood;
I land a fish, but never lood.
About these verbs I sit and think.
These verbs don't fit. They seem to wink
At me, who sat for years and thought
Of verbs that never fat or wrought.

I just came across this poem last week and it kind of stuck in my mind. :)

Spectacled-eyed Monkey / Dusky leaf Monkey

Today I ask my little sister to pick 1 random animal that I will write about. My sister asks me to write about the black monkey that always eating our cassava leaves. Its many names are Spectacled-eyed Monkey, Dusky Leaf Monkey, Spectacled Langur or Dusky Langur.

Spectacled-eyed Monkey

The spectacled-eyed monkey scientific name is Trachypithecus obscurus. The monkeys live in a forest near our house. Its origin is Thailand, Java, and Sumatra. it is believed that these monkeys can live for up to 25 years.

The dusky leaf monkey with its cute and adorable looks is a primate species. They have large white colored circles around their eyes which give an appearance of a spectacle, which is the basis for its second funny name, the Spectacled Langur. This animal has also white coloured patches of fur around its mouth and stomach while the rest of the fur has a grey to brownish colour. Their palms and soles are hairless. They are coloured black. The tail is non-prehensile meaning it cannot be used for them to hang from the trees.

The primate consists of short hind and forelimbs and has stronger fibula and femur compared to other species of langur. The tail is not adapted for holding and grasping and varies in length and fur coverage. The newborn dusky leaf monkeys are orange or yellow in color with a cute pink face. Within 6 months the color of the fur changes from orange to grey/brownish.

These cute looking monkeys are arboreal and spend most of their time on trees. They move around by quadrupedal motion around the forest. Leaping and climbing movements are observed during their feeding activities.

On their bottom is a hard calloused pad which is suited to them sitting down which they do for large periods of time.
From head to tail an average dusky langur would be 42-61cm (17-24in) long. The tail adds 50-85cm (20-33in) to this length. They use the tail to maintain balance. Males appear to be heavier than females but this is the only difference between the pair. Females weigh 6.5kg (14lb) on average while males weigh 7.4kg (16lb).

Predators
As the monkeys dwell upon higher canopies of trees in the forest, they do not have many predators. But still, they can be hunted by snakes, raptors and big carnivorous animals who are able to reach them.
One of the biggest known predators of these monkeys are humans, as they are used for food.

Behavior
The dusky leaf monkey is diurnal and highly active during day time. They prefer staying up in high canopies of tall trees and move around running, climbing and leaping on the branches of the trees. The monkey is known to have interactions within their own group.

The dusky leaf monkeys move around in groups with numbers ranging from 5 to 20 individuals. The groups consist of two or more adult females and only one male. Or more adult males being only one dominant. The dominant male adult is majorly responsible for keeping the group together, patrolling at boundaries of their territories and detecting predators around their territories. Solitary individuals are found in both the sexes. Under normal circumstances, the adult male submerges within the group but becomes aggressive when intruders are observed.
